Our people & approach

Knowledge truly matters only when a child believes in themselves, and it grows where they feel seen, accepted, and supported.

Teachers who know the child, not just the curriculum.

Working in small groups with two teachers allows us to truly get to know each child
and tailor our approach to their needs and potential.

Klara Marić

Primary School Teacher

Klara builds her work with children around their curiosity, energy, and individual interests. She sees the classroom as a place where children are free to explore, ask questions, and learn through their own experience. What matters most to her is that children understand why they are learning something and feel motivated and actively involved in the process.

She is the author of a school textbook and brings valuable international experience into her teaching, applying contemporary learning approaches and a broader educational perspective.

She is known for her warm, open manner and her ability to create a supportive environment in which children feel confident to express their ideas. Andrea especially values the moments when a child reaches a solution independently and gains trust in their own abilities. She believes that lasting knowledge is built through meaningful learning, active participation, and experiences children can connect to real life.

“The moments that bring me the greatest joy are those when a child realises they can do something independently.”

Andrea Kostanjski

Primary School Teacher

Andrea approaches her work with children through closeness, spontaneity, and trust. She sees the classroom as a place where it is okay to ask questions, make mistakes, and try again — sometimes several times over. What matters most to her is that children feel relaxed and safe, because she believes real learning happens once the fear of making mistakes disappears.

She is known for her cheerful, energetic approach and the ease with which she builds genuine connections with children. Learning is shaped through conversation, movement, small challenges, and plenty of encouragement, with a clear message that effort matters more than perfection. Andrea believes a love of learning grows when a child feels that learning can be engaging, meaningful — and a little fun.

A lesson with Andrea often begins with a question, ends with a smile, and along the way, more is learned than originally planned.

“If we’re laughing and learning at the same time,
we’re on the right path.”

“Often, the conversations that matter most don’t happen in an office, but along the way — in the hallway.”

Jelena Periša

Pedagogue

“I believe change happens when a child feels that someone truly believes in them.”

Dorotea Ridl

Social Pedagogue

Professional support that makes a difference

At Prizma, our professional support team is not in the background—it is an integral part of everyday school life. The pedagogue, psychologist, social pedagogue, and other specialists work closely with teachers and students on a daily basis, ensuring that each child is seen holistically and supported at the right time.

Professional support at Prizma is focused on understanding the child, recognising individual needs, and strengthening the skills that support both learning and healthy relationships. Through regular socio-emotional learning workshops, children learn to recognise emotions, develop empathy, cooperation, and resilience. And when challenges arise, the support team is not distant or occasional, but present, accessible, and involved—providing reassurance to parents and a sense of safety and belonging to children as they grow and learn.

Marija Burazer i Antonija Matić

Kindergarten and Preschool teachers

Marija brings calm, warmth, and a strong sense of security into her work with children. What matters most to her is that every child feels seen and accepted, and that through play they develop confidence and trust in their own abilities. She believes children learn best when they are given the space to be themselves and are guided gently, without haste or pressure.

Antonija brings energy, creativity, and infectious curiosity to the group. She sees play as an opportunity for exploration, movement, and trying out new ideas. She encourages children to ask questions, collaborate, and take on small challenges, believing that play nurtures curiosity, courage, and the joy of learning.

Our educators Marija and Antonija, together with Josipa, Katarina, Mirna, Paula, Dona, Tonka, Mateja, Valentina, and Kristina, create a warm and stimulating environment where play is “serious work” and learning happens naturally. Play is a child’s natural way of learning, through which children develop curiosity, self-confidence, and their first essential skills. This approach continues seamlessly into Prizma Primary School, giving children a sense of stability, trust, and a familiar, supportive environment.
