Class schedule
The school day is tailored to children so that they can stay focused on the more demanding part of the curriculum during the morning. Every week begins and ends with a Social-Emotional Skills classroom session. An essential part of our program is also our weekly out-of-class learning day. On that day, classes finish at 12:00, after which we visit museums, theatres, take short nature trips, or explore cultural landmarks. Out-of-class learning is a key component of our project-based approach, as it connects classroom learning with real-life examples and hands-on experiences, allowing students to later integrate these insights and knowledge into a meaningful, coherent whole.
We enrich the subjects of the national curriculum (black letters) with additional learning content (golden letters), focusing on project-based learning that connects subject areas into experiential and practical activities. In this way, we systematically build competencies rooted in understanding-based knowledge and skill development. These include:
-
Science explorers (ScienceLab) – scientific project classroom
-
School forum – communication project classroom: reading comprehension, content analysis, public speaking skills, listening, argumentation
-
TechnoLab – technological project classroom
-
Matika – additional mathematics lessons
-
English Funtime – additional English lessons focused on communication and natural language acquisition
-
Art & Craft – creative classroom for artistic expression, ideas, and creation
-
Emotional Compass – social-emotional skills classroom
-
Cooperative Learning – through the concepts Reading Buddies, Math Buddies, Project Buddies, we develop skills such as giving and receiving help/support/collaboration; constructive argumentation; project presentations; questioning and debating; teamwork, role distribution, shared work and shared success/failure; active listening; compromise; empathetic communication; respectful disagreement; giving and receiving feedback
-
